The first of its kind program to pipeline women of color into the footwear industry.

About:

SEED, School for Experiential Education in Design, is a 2 year hands on, in-house design program that seeks to pipeline women of color into the footwear industry. Through the opportunity to learn the foundational elements of footwear design through course curriculum, special project and stretch assignments, design students will have the opportunity to have a career within the adidas organization once successful completion of the program.

Problem:

SEED program gained momentum and traction across NY sneaker industry. Program needed assistance to relocate to Los Angeles for access to larger adidas global networks. Needed someone to create systems and solutions to organization and advance the program curriculum and cross collaboration across adidas and footwear communities.

The Solution:

Contribute to the team as a creative project and program manager, securing opportunities with business units and design communities across the adidas global network to facilitate the 2 year design program.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Developed and managed a comprehensive two-year footwear design curriculum for Adidas’s SEED program, aimed at advancing women of color in the industry.

Facilitated design workshops and educational content in collaboration with Adidas’s Purpose Team, enhancing participant learning and program value.

Implemented a Digital Asset Management system and utilized Smart sheet and Miro for effective management and tracking of project timelines and details.

Engineered partnerships and collaborations for projects like "CultureCon x NYC" and "Caribana x Adidas," significantly amplifying brand engagement and cross-cultural interaction.

Estabished internal and external communication strategies, informing adidas communities about mentorship, special project, and collaboration opportuities.
